Wanda Louise Eggers

Mrs. Wanda Louise Ayers Eggers, 74, of Mt. Airy, passed away peacefully with her daughter and family at her side, Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Universal Health Care in King.  She was born in Surry County, June 22, 1947, to the late Claude Swanson and Nancy Elizabeth Spencer Ayers.  Mrs. Eggers was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.  Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Larry Richard Eggers, daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Jason Branch; grandchildren, Seth Gray, Landon Gray, Eli Gray, and Emma Branch; and a sister Eunice McQuire.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Eggers was preceded in death by four siblings.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Zane Fishel officiating.  There will be short visitation prior to the service for family and close friends.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
