Wanda Faye Hall Brady, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away on May 22, 2023, at Chatham Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on June 12, 1954, in Carroll County Virginia to the late Roy Clarence Hall and the late Lannie Mae Hall Bonds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lawanda Brady Martin.
Wanda was a retired bus driver for the Surry County School System who dedicated her life to serving children. Her profession often earned her love and respect from the students she drove as well as their families. During her career, Wanda also formed lifelong friendships with her colleagues that only added to her warm personality and constant smile.
Her loss would be mourned by all those who knew her. Her surviving family members include devoted husband Ronald Lee Brady, sons Shawn Brady, Damon Cheyenne Brady and wife Sarah, Shane Brady and wife Lauren, Ronald Landon and wife Kristie; Shannon Brady and wife Amy: daughter Crystal Brady Biggs and husband Scott; sister Glenda Hall and husband Harold, sister Dorothy Hall and husband Billy, sister Brenda Bobbitt and husband Arnold; sister Angela Bonds; brother Damon Hall; brother Bernard Hall; special sister-in-law Geraldine Newman; beloved dog Lacy; beloved cat Sally.
Wanda will also be deeply missed by her grandchildren Courtney Reid, Lakin Newman, Ashlyn Martin, Emma Grace Brady, Taylor Thompson, Walker Snow, Dallas Brady,
Taylor Brady, Caleb Snow, Chesney Brady, Raylan Biggs, along with her great-grandchildren Aubrey Snow,
Bohannon Snow, Emersyn Snow, Caroline Snow, River Brady, Charleigh Snow, Raelynn Thompson, Novah Thompson, Bentley Newman, Bailee Newman, Briella Newman. Services that will take place on May 25th, 2023, at The Community Church, 280 O’Neal Road in Mount Airy. Visitation will be held in the church from 2:00 -3:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:30 PM, with Brothers, Ray Hutson, Jack Anderson, and Charles Stevens officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. The family would like to offer thanks to the staff of Central Continuing Care, and Chatham Nursing and Rehabilitation for the care shown to Mrs. Brady. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Brady family.
