Wanda Katherine "Kathy" (Heath) Francis

Mrs. Wanda Katherine “Kathy” Heath Francis, age 65 of Westfield, passed away on Friday morning, January 6, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Francis was born August 4, 1957, to the late Johnny and Myrtice Lawson Heath.  Kathy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.  Surviving is her husband of 40 years, Timothy “Tim” Lee Francis, one daughter and son-in-law, Ashley Francis Bowers and Justin; one son and daughter-in-law, Joshua Francis and Shannon, six grandchildren, Jacob Bowers, Laura Francis, Asher Bowers, Leigh Francis, Charlie Bowers, Lydia Francis; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances Fulton, Nancy Martin and Roger, Clara Miles and June Bug, Glenda Bennett and Jimmy, Bonnie Fulk; along with several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Francis was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, Junior Fulton, Glenn Meeks, and S.B. Fulk.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Brown Mountain Baptist Church in Westfield with Rev. Eddie Carter and Rev. Rickey Rogers officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday, January 9, 2023, at Brown Mountain Baptist Church from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.  The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Novant Health Oncology in Mount Airy, Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center, 9^th Floor, and Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care for all the loving care and support given to Mrs. Francis during her illness.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
