Wanda Fern Hiatt

Mrs. Wanda Fern Hiatt, age 79, of Ararat, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Northern Regional Hospital in Mt. Airy.  She was born in Patrick County Virginia on October 17, 1942, to the late Thomas Raleigh and Exie Elizabeth Inscore Hiatt.  Left to cherish her memory are sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara Nester, Fay and Jerry Randall, Gloria Payne, Ivalene Chaffin; brother, Otto Hiatt, and her three cats whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hiatt was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Chaffin; brothers, Quinten, Bernard, and Reid Hiatt; sisters, Gerlene Deal, Audry Wright, and Dare Hiatt.  A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Willow Hill Moravian Church with services conducted by the family.  There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
