Wanda Lee Fortner Snow

Mrs. Wanda Lee Fortner Snow age 63 of 152 Wayne Street, Mount Airy, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Snow was born in Surry County on May 28, 1945 daughter of the late Clyde Fortner and Vestal Hice Fortner. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Dale Penley of Mount Airy; sons, Jeff Dixon of Pilot Mtn. and Tony F. Snow of Mount Airy: grandchildren, Kristi Penley, Mitchell Dixon and Brandon Dixon; sisters, Peggy Crain of Spruce Pine and Lucille Harrison of Dobson. In addition to her parents Mrs. Snow was preceded in death by two sisters, Mabel Crabtree and Barbara Wagoner and a brother, Wayne Fortner. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Roaring Gap Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Friday night from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
