Mr. Wendel “Peter” Brink, age 73, of Elkin, NC passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021 in Winston Salem, NC at Wake Forest Medical Center. He was born in Tolland Co. CT on November 24, 1947, to the late William Oscar Brink and the late Pearl Ella Gemmell Brink, in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Donald Peter Brink, sister Winnie Brink. He was a retired General Manager for a Recycling Plant. Peter made family a priority. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and good friend, leaving behind his wife, Dorothy Paradine Brink; daughter and son-in-law, Suzette and Daniel LaMontagne; son and daughter-in-law, Laurence and Sandra Brink; grandchildren, Kimberly LaMontagne, Jonathon Jarry, Shannon LaMontagne, Matthew Jarry; great-grandchild, Isabella Jarry; brother and sister-in-law, William and Peggy Brink. Our beloved Peter, he was a family man. Friends and family would, and continue to look up to him, and aspire to be at least half the man he is. Peter was naturally talented and poured his heart and soul into everything he touched. We like to call him a ‘Jack of all trades’, if anyone could do it, Peter was the guy to do it. He was a self taught musician, and touches the lives of many with his words and rifts on his guitar. Any thing Peter did just came natural to him, from music and being very eclectic, to carpentry, Peter did it all. Not only was Peter good at hobbies he was fantastic with people. Peter could make friends with the wall and some how with his words of wisdom, that wall would want to be a better version of itself, stronger, more structured. Peter did this with every single person he met, after a few words with him they instantly would want to become the best versions of themselves, and let’s not forget the jokes and the silly giggles he blessed us with. Peter was a devoted member at his church, Zephyr Baptist Church, where you would find him singing and playing the guitar lifting the spirits of many, in the name of Jesus Christ. Peter will always touch our hearts and watch over us. We all can only hope to be as gifted, and devoted as he was, he will be missed dearly. There will be a memorial service held by the family at a later date. No service will be held at the funeral home. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Brink family. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the National Kidney Foundation.
