Mr. Wendell Curvie Edmonds age 84, of Dobson, NC the husband of Opal Louise Key Edmonds passed away on Saturday morning October 28, 2006 at Elkin Health Care in Elkin. Mr. Edmonds was born in Surry County on December 26, 1921 to the late Ulus Edmonds and the late Ular Edwards Edmonds. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and was a retired farmer. Surviving is his loving wife of 63 years, Opal Louise Key Edmonds of the home; two sons and daughter-in-law Lonnie Dell Edmonds of Dobson, Tommy and Cathy Edmonds of Dobson; two grandchildren Mandy and her husband Sean Stanley of Davidson, Aaron Edmonds and wife Brooke of Dobson; two great-grandchildren, Jack and Haven Stanley of Davidson; one brother, Clinton Edmonds of Dobson; in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters Grace Draughn, Louisa Holt, Annie Hamlin; two brothers Vestal Edmonds and Ervin Edmonds. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 30, 2006 at Fairview Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Dan Merritt will officiate the service. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson on Sunday evening from 7 until 9 P.M.
