Wendell Ernest Fowler

Mr. Wendell Ernest Fowler, age 73 of Siloam passed away at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home Tuesday, July 03, 2012. He was born in Surry County on March 5, 1939 to the late Ernest Lee and Lula Cave Fowler. Mr. Fowler worked with Fence Builders for 52 years. He is survived by his wife, Faye Whitaker Fowler of the home; sisters, Agnes White of Dobson, Emma Lou Gwyn of Roseville , MI, Beatrice Anthony, Arlene Davis, Clarine Calhoun all of Dobson and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Pine Hill Friends by Rev. Michael Thames. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm where the body will remain until the time to be taken to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pine Hill Friends Meeting, 3968 Hwy 268, Ararat, NC 27007 or the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.
