Werner "Vannie" Leupold

On the 29th of October at 4:10 pm, Heaven opened its gates and accepted its newest angel. Werner "Vannie" Leupold, 70. of State Road was born in Hanau Germany. He was an extraordinary man that toughed the lives of everyone he encountered. No one could have asked for a better husband, father, brother, son, papa or friend. He was an inspirational minister and proud deacon. Proceeded to heavens pearly gates to walk the streets of gold by his mother, Else and brother Oscar Leupold. He left this world peacefully after saying, "I love you girl" to his daughter Dana. Leaving behind to see once again, wife Faye B. Leupold, daughters Sherry Darnell and husband Stan and Dana Leupold; sons Christopher and wife Frances, Patrick and partner Jeremy Caruthers and Jason Leupold; grandchildren Zachary and Seth Darnell, Heather Leupold, Brittany and Savanna Shaw; sister Elenore Stanley and husband R. G.; sister-in-law Louise Leupold. ; several other very special nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Reunited with dogs Bella Rose, Jada Faye and Buttons and will be missed by his beloved pets, Silver, Oreo and Vannie. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Second Chance Church. The service will be held by his beloved pastor and best friend, Rev. Terry Coe and special friends Rev. Allen Jenkins and Rev. Bill Jenkins. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 to 9 pm at Second Chance Church. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Second Chance Church c/o Carol Wood 2140 CC Camp Road Elkin, NC 28621. Family will be at the home of Sherry Darnell at all other times at 285 Adams Ridge Road State Road, NC. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Leupold family.
