Wesley Newton Howell

Mr. Wesley Newton Howell, age 53, of Mount Airy, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mr. Howell was born on March 23, 1965 in Surry County to Bessie Pack Wilson and the late Louis McLain Howell.  Mr. Howell loved growing flowers and vegetables and had a passion for taking on stray animals, especially cats.  He will be missed by his family and friends.  Mr. Howell is survived by his son, Jacob Daniel Howell of Topsail Beach; his mother and stepfather, Bessie Pack Wilson and Raymond Wilson of King; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Amy and Kevin Dawson, Paula and Michael Albert, and Janet Horton. Mr. Howell was preceded in death by his father, Louis McLain Howell; and brothers, Dennis Howell and James Howell.  A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 12:00 until 2:00 at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.  In addition to flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
