Wesley Gray Norman

Mr. Wesley Gray Norman, 82, of Dobson, passed away Saturday morning, September 10, 2022, at Willowbrook Rehabilitation and Care Center in Yadkinville.  Mr. Norman was born December 10, 1939, in Surry County, the son of the late Wesley Garfield and Ticie Ellen Marion Norman.  Gray retired as a sales manager from Wayne Farms after 47 years of service and was a charter member of Saint Andrew Lutheran Church.  He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Angela Norman; a stepdaughter and her husband, Tona and Larry Spicer; two grandchildren, Brookelyn Norman and her fiancé, Chris Sherrill, and Todd Norman; a special friend and mother of his grandchildren, Pam Norman; three stepgrandchildren and their spouses, Shannon and Keith Layell, Missy and Jackie Caudle, and Mike and Amy Brown; several great-stepgrandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Martha Whitesell and Judy and Dennis Reece; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Thomas and Frances Norman, Bobby Norman, Benny Norman, and Delbert and Nancy Norman; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Norman was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Brown Norman; a stepgrandchild, Byron Brown; and a brother, Cornelius Norman.  The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Gum Orchard Baptist Church, with the Rev. Donathan Layell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Zephyr Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at the church.  Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the family.
