Wilfred Lewis Prillaman

          Mr. Wilfred Lewis Prillaman, age 83 of Stuart, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Stanleytown Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bassett.  He was born in Henry County on January 25, 1935 to the late Gold Lewis Prillaman and Eva Hylton Prillaman.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Prillaman was preceded in death by a son, Wesley Carl Prillaman; and a brother, Dewey Eugene Prillaman.  He was a graduate of Liberty Home Bible Institute, was a member of Mount Herman Church of the Brethren, and had been the owner/operator of Prillaman’s Garage.  He also worked in childcare for twelve years at the Presbyterian Children’s Home in Lynchburg, Virginia.

          Mr. Prillaman is survived by his wife, Linda Shough Prillaman; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Prillaman of the home, Martha Prillaman Jones and husband, Roger of Danville; five grandchildren, Ricky Prillaman and wife, Wendy, Mickey Prillaman, Tate Jones and wife, Jessica, Makenna Sands and husband, Ryan, Jacoby Jones; two great-grandchildren, Heidi Prillaman and Amber Fortner; a brother, Chester Prillaman and wife, Charlotte of Stuart; two sisters, Lena Mae Nichols of Woolwine, Fern Wimmer of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Noel Naff, Pastor Rick Randall and Pastor Roger Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in the Prillaman Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  If desired, memorials may be made to Mount Herman Church of the Brethren Food Pantry, 144 Mount Herman Road, Bassett, Virginia 24055, or to Fairystone Volunteer Fire Department, 6687 Fairystone Park Hwy., Stuart, Virginia 24171.  Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
