Willard Lowe Ramey

Mrs. Willard Lowe Ramey, 90, of Lowgap, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Ramey was born September 27, 1919, in Surry County, to Claude O. and Lizzie Gentry Lowe. She was retired from Surry County School Systems as a teacher's aid and was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Bryanna and Don Isaacs of Pilot Mountain, Cathy and Russell Crouse of Lowgap, and Donna Estes of Lowgap; a son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Sheryl Ramey of Lowgap; grandchildren, Byron Isaacs and wife Adrienne of Pilot Mountain, LeAnna Vaden and husband Clayton of King, Sarah Crouse of Raleigh, Jeremy Crouse of Lowgap, Jessica Stevens and husband Patrick of Danbury, Stuart Estes of Mount Airy, Jason Ramey and wife Candy of East Bend, and Joy Ramey of Winston-Salem; great-grandchildren, Matthew Ramey, Isaac Vaden, and Kendra Stevens; a brother-in-law, H.A. Dennis of Wadesboro; and a brother, Paul K. Lowe of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ramey was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood C. Ramey; and two sisters, JoAnna Richardson and Sybil Dennis. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 11, 2010, at Mountain View Baptist Church, with the Rev. Russell Parsons and the Rev. Clyde Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church two hours prior to the service.
