Willellen Hiatt

Mrs. Willellen Webb Hiatt, 85, of Mount Airy, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020, at Surry Community Health and Rehab in Mt. Airy.  Mrs. Hiatt was born in Carroll County, VA on May 27, 1935, to the late Charles Alva and Beatrice White Webb.  She was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.  Mrs. Hiatt was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Among the many who will always cherish her memory is her daughter, Joy Mitchell; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Tracy Hiatt; grandchildren, James Hiatt, Travis Mitchell, Dale Mitchell, and Brooke Simmons and husband Eric; great grandchildren, Will Hiatt, Owen Mitchell-Clarke, Kinsley Simmons and Emily Simmons; a sister, Joyce Burnette; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Brenda Webb; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hiatt was preceded in death by her husband, James Hoover Hiatt; a granddaughter, Krista Mitchell; a sister, Jean Gammons; a brother-in-law, Bill Burnette.  A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop John Bradley officiating.  Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the Church.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.  The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Surry Community Rehab, the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice, and all the people who cared for her when she was at home.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
