William "Bill" Allen Agee

Mr. William “Bill” Allen Agee, age 85 of Patrick Springs, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at his home.  He was born in Patrick County on February 21, 1937, to the late Curtis Monroe Agee and Beatrice Cruise Agee.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyanne Agee Wood, Betty Agee Cruise; and two brothers-in-law, Duke Wood, and David Poteet.  Bill was a long-distance truck driver for 40 years, retiring from Epes Transport in Greensboro, NC.  He had served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Critz Baptist Church, where he had served as deacon and trustee. 

         Surviving is his loving wife of 65 years, Dula Belle Wood Agee of the home; two sons and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Linda Agee of Ararat, Warren Agee of Patrick Springs ; three grandchildren, Darren Agee of Roanoke, Derrick Agee and wife, Rachel of Hardy, Amber Agee Hable and husband, Eric of Patrick Springs; one great granddaughter, Charlotte Elizabeth Agee of Hardy; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Eleanor and Robert Gardner of Augusta, GA, Karen A. Poteet of Pulaski, Mary and Preston Martin of Patrick Springs; one brother and sister-in-law, Philip “Phil” and Margo Agee of Cary, NC; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

         A graveside service will be held Monday, April 18, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Meadows of Dan Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Allan Vass officiating.  There will be a flag presentation by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.   Bill will lie in state on Saturday, April 16, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart for friends to come by and pay their respects.  Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
