William "Bill" Joseph Donathan

Mr. William “Bill” Joseph Donathan, age 46, of Lowgap, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at Forsyth Medical Center.  Mr. Donathan was born in Surry County on April 4, 1972 to Evelyn Bowman Donathan and the late Jimmy Donathan.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son; and dear friend.  Among the many who will always cherish his memory is his wife, Lisa Holt Donathan; sons, Anthony Gray Holder and wife, Diana, Cody Allen Holder; daughters, Samantha Jean Donathan and Olivia Dawn Donathan; grandchildren, Michael, Lia and Tyra; Sisters, Jessica Donathan, Brandy Odum; brothers, Curtis “Chris” Bowman and wife, Shanda, Jason Donathan and wife, Lisa and Joey Donathan and wife, Maude; several nieces and nephews, aunts; uncles; his father-in-law, Rufus Holt, Jr.; a sister-in-law Teresa Boyd and husband, James; a brother-in-law, Jerry Holt; and a special friend, Roger Sawyers. Mr. Donathan was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Donathan; aunt, Frances Bowman Payne; uncles, Earlie, Glenn and Harry Bowman, Junior Payne and George Horton; grandparents, William Hobert Bowman and Renie Niten Bowman; and his mother-in-law, Judy Holt and a brother-in-law, Ricky Holt.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jeff Wall.  Burial will follow in the Bowman Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Moody Funeral Home PO Box 1288, Mt.
