William Bryan Bowman

Mr. William Bryan Bowman, 77, of 1182 Ahart Ridge Road, Ararat, VA, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2006, at his home. Mr. Bowman was born June 13, 1929, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Howard Cassell Bowman and Mary Belle Montgomery Bowman. He worked as a rate clerk for several freight carriers and was a member of First Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. He is survived by a daughter, Debra Ann Lee of Maryland; two sons, George Clay Bowman of Sauk Centre, MN, and William Howard Bowman of the home; eightl grandchildren; four great grandchildren and three sisters, Viola Imogene Brown of Ararat, VA, Bertha Boyd Biebigheiser Buttner, Dayton, OH, Sarah Elizabeth Biebigheiser Turner, Winston-Salem, NC. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Heath Bowman; and a infant son, Walter Allen Bowman.. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Moody Funeral Home of Mt. Airy conducted by Pastor Dale Cline. Burial will follow in the Montgomery Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10:00 AM until the hour of the service at Moody Funeral Home of Mt. Airy.
