William Thomas Clougher, Jr

Mr. William Thomas “Bill” Clougher, Jr., 62, of Cana, VA, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016, at his home. Mr. Clougher was born October 21, 1953, in Suffolk County, NY, one of five children born to the late William Thomas Clougher, Sr. and Lenora Porter Clougher. Bill was a self-employed contractor for many years. He is survived by his wife, Sharron Howard Clougher of Rural Hall; a daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Brian Crotts, Sr. of Cana, VA; a son and daughter-in-law, William Thomas “Billy” Clougher, III and Amanda Clougher of Chesterfield, VA; five grandchildren, Lauren Burkhart, Brian Crotts, Jr., William Thomas “Will” Clougher, IV, Maxwell Clougher, and Scarlett Clougher; a sister and brother-in-law, Lenora and Jeff Hartwyk of New Jersey; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, John Clougher of New York, James and Eileen Clougher of Florida, and Kenneth and Holly Clougher of Texas; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016, from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
