William Bridges Duffy

Mr. William "Bill" Bridges Duffy, 63, of Mt. Airy, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2007 in Parkersburg West Virginia. Mr. Duffy was born in Boston, MA, September 7, 1943 to William Bridges Duffy, Sr. and Marie Fink Duffy. He served our country in the United States Army and was employed by Leonard Buildings, Inc. Surviving are his wife, Geraldine Fletcher Duffy of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Billy Duffy and Stephen and Melissa Duffy all of Florida; a granddaughter, Avery Duffy; step daughters, Penny Lowe and husband Lewis and Shelly Boyd all of Mt. Airy; five step grandchildren; and three brothers, Michael Duffy and James Duffy of Boston, MA; and Kenny Duffy of Daytona Beach, FL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Wayne Johnson. Burial will be in Daytona Beach, FL. The family will receive friends Monday night from 7:00 to 9:00 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
