William Boggy "Dub" Golding

Mr. William Boggy “Dub” Golding, age 90, of Lowgap, passed away Tuesday evening, February 11, 2025, at his residence. Mr. Golding was born in Surry County, October 14, 1934, to the late Dock Golding and Louie Flippin Golding. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, he’ll be deeply missed by all who knew him. Mr. Golding was a very hard worker, loved his country, loved God, watching Nascar, and was a very big Donald Trump supporter. He had done landscaping for many years, as long as he could. He leaves behind to cherish his memories, daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia Golding of the home, Amy Stanley and Mitch; son and daughter-in-law, William Gregory Golding and Brandy; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillar Hayes and Carl, Shyrell Boyette and Bob, Sarah Lou Beane, Connie Barnes; brothers and sisters-in-law, Artis Golding and Jean, Harold Golding and Trudy, Joe Golding and Sandra, Roger Dale Golding and Nancy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggy Golding; second mother, Sarah Allie Flippin; son, Jeffrey Craig Golding; sisters, Mondell Lawrence, Rachel Gentry; brothers, Charles Golding, Leon Golding. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy with the Rev. Phil Edwards, Rev. Dennis Bledsoe, and Rev. David Smith officiating. A burial will follow in the Golding Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice PO Box 325, Dobson, NC 27017. Moody’s of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Golding family.
