William Todd Gunter

Mr. William Todd Gunter, 59, of Lowgap passed away Monday, February 27, 2023, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin.  He was born in Surry County on August 5, 1963, to Linda Sutphin Gunter and to the late Jimmy Gray Gunter.  Mr. Gunter was employed at Tate Logging Company for many years.  He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Noel and Zachary Tate, Tracy and Matthew Nunn; grandchildren, Nathaniel Morton, Wesley Nunn, Abigail Tate, and Austin Tate; his mother, Linda Sutphin Gunter; a sister, Deborah Joyce; nieces and nephews.  In addition to his father, Mr. Gunter was preceded in death by his wife, Candy Jean Cassell Gunter; a brother, Greg Gunter; a brother-in-law, Doug Joyce.  A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Salvation Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev.
