William Ray Hall

Mr. William Ray Hall age 83 of 160 Highland Drive, Mount Airy, widower of Marie Gunnell Hall, passed away at his home on Tuesday October 23, 2007. Mr. Hall was born in Surry County July 23, 1924 son of the late Robert Hall and Sally Norman Hall and was a veteran of the US Army having served during WWII. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Robert Easter of Mount Airy; one son, Michael Hall of Mount Airy; three grandchildren, Annette Beasley of Mount Airy, Gray Easter of Dobson and Chris Easter of Mount Airy and four great-grandchildren, Noel Easter, Nicole Beasley, Caroline Easter and Levi Easter. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Oakdale Cemetery. The service will be conducted by Rev. Dale Bass. Full military rites will be conducted by VFW Memorial Honor Guard Post 2019 of Mount Airy and Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Thursday night from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
