William Roger Haunn

Mr. William Roger Haunn, 81, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018, at his home. Mr. Haunn was born September 27, 1936, to the late Hillary Hampton and Ada Marshall Haunn. He was a member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lettie Jean Haunn of the home; a daughter, Rogjeana Ada Haunn; two stepdaughters, Jeannie Johnson Hiatt and her husband, Nelson, and Esther Johnson Ayers and her husband, Rodney; five grandchildren, Roger Hiatt, Lori Ayers Keith, Summer Ayers Nolen, Harley R. Hiatt, and R. Blaine Ayers; five great-grandchildren, Bryson Keith, Colton Keith, Skyler Hiatt, Samantha Hargis and Brooklyn Hiatt; a great-granddaughter, Daisy Mae due in February 2018; and a sister, Helen Haunn. In addition to his parents, Mr. Haunn was preceded in death by three brothers, Carlos Haunn, Columbus Haunn, and Guy Haunn; and a sister, Eliza McCraw. The funeral service will be held Friday, January 19, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Arlis Thomas and and the Rev. Timmy Crotts officiating. The family will receive friends Friday at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy from 12:30 until 2:00 PM. They will not be receiving friends or food at the home. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to the Maple Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Gary Mooney, 1295 Maple Grove Church Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
