William Robert Hylton

Mr. William Robert Hylton, age 86 of Martinsville, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Blue Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Martinsville. He was born in Princeton WV on February 8, 1928 to the late Charlie Green Hylton and Etta Meadows Hylton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hylton was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Odell Hylton; a son, Larry Hylton; two brothers, Carl Hylton and James Hylton; and three sisters, Willa Mae Shelton, Henrietta Cassidy and Lelia Rorrer. Mr. Hylton had worked at W. M. Bassett and later, retired from Martinsville Novelity.

Mr. Hylton is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Jimmy Campbell of Ridgeway, Pearl and Skip Moore of Spencer, Deborah and Ray Handy of Martinsville, Sandra and Larry Ayers of Spencer; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Frances Hylton of Bassett; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren 2 great great granchildren; one sister; four brothers and several nieces and nephews..
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Delmas Rorrer officiating. Burial will follow in the Roberson Family Cemetery.
