William Herman Tucker, II

Mr. William Herman Tucker, II, 35, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at his home. Mr. Tucker was born January 8, 1982, in Forsyth County, the older of two children born to William Herman and Patricia “Shorty” Williams Tucker. He was affectionately known as “Heavy” by his family and many friends. “Heavy” was formerly employed at Tucker Inc. and was a member of White Plains Baptist Church. He is survived by his parents, William Herman and Patricia “Shorty” Williams Tucker of Mount Airy; a sister and brother-in-law, Tiphanie and Johnny Thomas of Claudville, VA; a niece, Lilee Thomas of Claudville, VA; a nephew, Johnnie Thomas of Claudville, VA; his paternal grandparents, the Rev. Bill and Sharon Tucker of Mount Airy; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a special friend, Dustin Vaughn of Greensboro. Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Gladys Carlene Hosey. The funeral service will be held Sunday, October 8, 2017, at 3:00 PM at White Plains Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Tucker, the Rev. Larry Norman, and the Rev. Steve Delph officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at White Plains Baptist Church. At other times, the family welcomes friends to the home of his parents at 167 Triple T Lane, Mount Airy. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
