William "Ted" Marshall

Mr. William "Ted" Marshall, age 74 of Mt. Airy, husband of Kathleen George Marshall, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Hoots Memorial Hospital. Mr. Marshall was born in Stokes County, May 31, 1932 to Jerry Cornelius and Bessie Joyce Marshall. He served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War, and was a retired sub-contractor with Town & Country. Surviving are his loving wife, Kathleen Marshall of the home; daughters and a son-in-law, Karen Lovill of Mt. Airy; Jennifer and Kevin Inman of Hickory; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Teresa Marshall of Pilot Mountain; grandchildren; Kevin and wife Charity, Brandon, and Victoria Lovill; Sydney Marshall; Olivia and Sophie Inman; a great grandson, Brycen Lovill; sisters, Ruth King of Pilot Mountain; Ethel Crews of Pinnacle; Myrtice Bowman of Walnut Cove; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glenn and Fay Marshall of Kernersville; Gray and Dale Marshall of Westfield; Jimmy and Shirley Marshall of Pinnacle; J. C. and Audrey Marshall of Pilot Mountain; and Junior and Marie Marshall of Pinnacle and his beloved dog, Kobie. In addition to his parents, Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by sisters, Rachel Collins and Katherine Sowden. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Eld. Rodney Marshall and Rev. Ronnie Chamblin. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens with military honors by VFW Memorial Honor Guard Mt. Airy Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436. The family will receive friends Monday night from 7:00 to 9:00 at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Ln., Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
