William Joseph Campbell "Billy" Reed

Mr. William Joseph Campbell “Billy” Reed age 37 of Mt. Airy went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday May 13, 2016. Billy attended Mt. Airy High School, Surry Community College, and University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is survived by his parents Rev. Rusty and Judy Jones Reed of the home, a sister and brother-in-law Leslie and Jarrett Combs. He was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Paul Dale Reed; grandparents, Joe and Susan Reed, Gray and Hattie Jones. He was a member of Fancy Gap Baptist Church and committed his life to Christ many years ago. He loved his family and friends and he loved his Lord Jesus Christ. He fought a long battle with depression. A service will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Dwight Sechrist. Family and friends would like to express their deepest appreciation to John Shelton, Surry County EMS and the Surry County Sheriff’s Department. “God Bless You All”. Also the family would like to thank two special friends, Elton and Christina Hauser for always being there for Billy.
