William Larry Taylor

Mr. William Larry Taylor age 65 of 132 West Old McKinney Road, Mount Airy, husband of Betty Carpenter Taylor passed away at his home on Monday April 2, 2007. Mr. Taylor was born February 8, 1942 in Surry County to Thelma Love Taylor and the late Herbert Taylor. He was a retired hairdresser and was the co-owner and operator of the Pine Ridge Classic Golf Course. He was a member of Union Hill Friends Meeting. Surviving are his wife, Betty Carpenter Taylor of the home, a daughter and friend, Michelle Taylor and Doug Norman of Mt. Airy, NC, two sons and daughters-in-law, Marty and Tanya Taylor, Wayne and Dana Taylor all of Mt. Airy, NC, five grandchildren, Levi Taylor, Shay Taylor, Braeden Taylor, Will Taylor, and Kasen Taylor all of Mt. Airy, NC, his mother, Thelma Love Taylor, Westfield, NC, three sisters and brothers-in-law, Midgie and R.J. Atkins, Pilot Mountain, NC, Sheila and Roger Wright, Sandra and Jimmy Jessup all of Westfield, NC, a brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Imogene Taylor, Ararat, NC. In addition to his father, Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by a infant sister, Betty Taylor. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, April 5, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel of Mt. Airy conducted by Rev. Fonda Younger and Rev. Todd Byrd with burial to follow in the Union Hill friends Meeting Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 PM Wednesday at Moody funeral home where his body will remain until the hour of the service.
