William Whitaker

Mr. William Columbus “Pete” Whitaker, age 85, of Jonesville, NC passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021, in Taylorsville, NC.  He was born in Harnett Co. NC on November 2, 1935, to the late Grady Llewellyn Whitaker and the late Wavie Lawson Whitaker.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Ann Rycroft Whitaker, his sisters, Bonnie McNeil, Bessie Whitaker, Betty Spicer, Rosa Moon. Louise Westmoreland.  Surviving are his sisters and brother-in-law, Myrtle Pardue, Sandra and Curtis Hayes,.  A Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, February 25, 2021, in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home with burial to follow in the cemetery of Little Richmond Baptist Church. Pastor Bobby Prevette will officiant the service. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, NC is serving the Whitaker family.  His body will lie in state 30 min. before the service at the funeral home.  Due to COVID restrictions, the family requests all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.
