William Henry Young

Mr. William Henry Young, 71, of 2347 Raven Rock Road, Ararat, VA, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2008, at his home. Mr. Young was born July 16, 1937, in Patrick County, VA, to the late Granville Jackson and Lillie Mae Bowman Young. Henry was the custodian at Patrick County High School for 18 years. He is survived by two sisters, Rena Young Taylor of East Bend and Mildred Young Montgomery of New Castle, DE; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Young was preceded in death by two sisters, Elvie Mae Young Smith and Mary Magdalene Young Quesinberry; and five brothers, Ulyess Edward Young, James Wesley Young, Cecil Jackson "Claude" Young, Moir Clinton Young, and Weaver Vinson Young. The funeral service will be held Sunday, October 26, 2008, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Buford Jessup, and burial will follow in the Henry Young Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
