Willie Clarence Luffman

Mr. Willie Clarence Luffman, age 93, of Mt. Airy, NC passed away at his home on March 1, 2023.  He was born in Wilkes County, NC on May 17, 1929, to the late Lonnie Fred Luffman and the late Vicie Alice Luffman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bradford Eugene Luffman and Lee Wagoner.  He was a member of Blackwater Baptist Church; and he taught guitar for 24 years at Surry Community College; he was the owner and operator of Luffman Music Center; a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean Conflict.  Surviving is his wife, Mona Overton Luffman; daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Kenneth Bullin; son and daughter-in-law, Willie Clarence Luffman, Jr. and Sandra Luffman; grandchildren, Travis and Hope Bullin, Angela and Brandon Palmer, Renee and Chad Brown, Kristi Gaddis;  great-grandchildren, Trip Brown, Ada Grace Brown, Willison Brown, Mona Claire Brown, Wyatt Gaddis, Hadley Gaddis, Emma Bullin, Coley Palmer, Luke Palmer; brother, Mac Wagoner; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Moody-Davis Funeral Home from 2:00 until 3:00 pm.  The service will begin at 3:00 pm in the chapel, with burial to follow in Roaring Gap Baptist Church Cemetery.   Rev. Dennis Bledsoe and Brother Chad Brown will officiate the services.  Following the service, family and friends will meet at 5:00 PM at the Barn at Blueberry Hill, 703 Bert Cockerham Road, Elkin, NC.  Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice of Wilkes County, 126 Executive Dr Ste 100, Wilkesboro, NC 28697.
