Dad truly did preach his own funeral by the life he led. He was humble, honest, faithful, generous, hardworking, respected, and dependable. He was a well-known gun smith and a friend to many. He truly did believe in working here on earth until your work was done. He insisted on growing a garden and watermelons this year, even after the diagnosis of Stage IV cancer. Family, neighbors, and friends in the community have always cherished his prized watermelons and to receive one in the summer should be regarded as a true blessing.
Sincere appreciation is extended to Yadkin Valley Home Health, Dannette Hawks and Mike Fields of Mountain Valley Hospice, and caregiver, Dale Williams for their excellent care. Appreciation is expressed for the many friends and neighbors who visited. A graveside service will be held Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 3:00 PM, in the Fisher River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Trent Lyons officiating. There will be no formal receiving at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. Branch from 4:00 – 6:00 pm after the service. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Fisher River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, in care of Kathy Pegram, 4058 Pleasant Ridge Road, State Road NC 28676. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Branch Family.
