Wilma Lorene Ayers

Mrs. Wilma Lorene Cothren Ayers, 83, of Cana, VA passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  She was born in Grayson County, VA on March 25, 1935 to the late Earl Cothren and Cora Smith Cothren.  Mrs. Ayers was retired from Proctor-Silex and a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.  She is survived by her husband, Victor Ernest Ayers of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Victoria Lynn Ayers Woods and Richard; grandchildren, Matthew McMillian, Holly Lynn McMillian; great grandchildren, Lee Branson, and Daisy Branson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alma Cothren Guynn and Jonah, Wanda Cothren Mays and Bob, Katie Lindsey Dalton and David; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Cothren; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ayers was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Cothren Shortt; a brother, Douglas Mack Cothren.  Services will be private.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
