Wilma Mabel McGlumphy

Mrs. Wilma Mabel McGlumphy, 88, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday night, July 10, 2010, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. McGlumphy was born November 9, 1921, in Wetzel County, WV, to the late Robert David and Cordie Mae Cook Hafer. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Robuster Green of Mount Airy; and a son, Larry C. Ray of Pearl, MS; four grandchildren and their spouses, Mary Rebecca Ray, Jack Ray, Art and Alison Ray, and Harold Lee and Nancy Allison; a half-sister, Louise Lamb of Ohio; and two half-brothers, Ronnie Keenan of Virginia and Jimmy Keenan of Ohio. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McGlumphy was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Walker and Hilda Hafer; two brothers, Jesse Hafer and Paul Hafer; and three half-brothers, Robert Keenan, Gene Keenan and Harold Keenan. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
