Mr. Wilton Oleson Watson, 74, of 832 Willow Street, Mount Airy, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, March 23, 2008, at his home. Mr. Watson was born August 6, 1933, in Surry County, son of the late Howard Lee and Bessie Hall Watson. He retired from Pike Electric. Surviving are four daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Gerald Lambert and Gay and Jimmy Vickers, all of Pilot Mountain, Christine and Sam Pack of Mount Airy and Brenda and Steve Lyle of TN; two sons, Tim Watson of Mount Airy and David Watson of Winston-Salem; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Hazel and Jack Joyce of Asbury and Hucie and Kent Lawson of Mount Airy; and a brother, Larry Watson of Westfield. In addition to his parents, Mr. Watson was preceded in death by two sons, Tony Watson and Joe Watson; and five brothers, Lowell, Cladie, Terry Joe, Marvin and William Watson. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Bill Spurlin and the Rev. Keith Love. Burial will follow in Woodville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home, and other times at the home of his daughter, Christine, 630 Albion Church Road, Mount Airy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Moody Funeral Services, Inc., P.O. Box 1288, Mount Airy, NC 27030 to assist with the funeral expenses. The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Todd Greenwood, Mount Airy Dialysis Center, Mountain Valley Hospice, and American Health Care Services for the kindness and care given to Mr. Watson during his illness.
