Winfred Morgan Culler

Mr. Winfred Morgan Culler, 77, of 241 Welcome Baptist Church Road, Mount Airy, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 15, 2006, at his home. Mr. Culler was born June 9, 1929, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Dewey and Mary Elva Bowman Culler. He was retired from Orkin, Inc., a member of The Gideons International, and a member of Welcome Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Cloud Culler of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Ronnie Shelton of Mount Airy and Rebecca and Justin Wells of West Jefferson; three sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Mary Alice Culler, Dennis and Penny Culler, and Dean and Laurie Culler, all of Mount Airy; twelve grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Culler was preceded in death by two sisters, Leauna Griffin and Verona Bowman; and two brothers, Melvin Culler and Elbert Culler. The funeral service will be held Sunday, December 17, 2006, at 2:00 PM at Welcome Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Bailey Elmore, Dr. Rick Jackson, Dr. James Joseph, and the Rev. Ronnie Chamblin. Burial will follow in the Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at Welcome Baptist Church. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to The Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214. The family would like to thank the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for all their care and support.
