Winfred Blair Jones

Mr. Winfred Blair Jones, age 83 of Mount Airy, passed away peacefully on Friday evening June 15, 2018 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mr. Jones was born in Surry County on June 20, 1934 to the late Robert McKinley Jones and Maude Frances Clement Jones.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed.  Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Norma Jean Roberts Jones; two sons and daughters-in-law, Manfred and Elizabeth Jones and Dennis and Michelle Jones; three step-daughters, Regina Hibben and husband Neil, Kathy Holt, and Carolyn Holt and husband Tim Woods; two step-sons, Stanley Holt and wife Sherry, and Darryl Holt; five grandchildren, Audrey Jones Johnston and husband Kris, Kinley Jones, Colby Jones, Cameron Jones and Carly Jones; thirteen step-grandchildren; a great grandchild, Kooper Johnston; twenty-one step great-grandchildren; two step great great-grandchildren; a special niece, Eleanor Faye Jones Meredith; and several other nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by two sisters, Myrtle Virginia Jones and Edith Jones Harrell Martin; and two brothers, Otis Jones and Ed Jones.  A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Oakdale Cemetery at 11am with Rev. Bill Spurlin officiating.  There will not be a formal visitation at the funeral home for Mr. Jones.
