Winnie Lou Collins Marion

Mrs. Winnie Lou Collins Marion, age 80, of Dobson, NC passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Vienna Village Assisted Living in Pfafftown, NC.  She was born in Surry County on August 30, 1937 to the late Johnny Collins and the late Daisy Hemmings Collins.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Marion; a sister, Ruby Perkins.  She was a Secretary for Perry Manufacturing for over 38 Years, was a member of Salem Baptist Church.  Surviving are her two daughters and son-in-law, Jennifer Marion of Winston-Salem, Fonda and (Gary) Tolbert of Statesville; two grandchildren Kristin and (Todd) Garrison, Zach and (Trinity) Tolbert; four great-grandchildren, Jack Garrison, Carter Garrison, Braxton Tolbert, June Tolbert; sister, Freeda Doby of Level Cross; several nieces and nephews.  A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday July 17, 2018 in the chapel of Salem Baptist Church, burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Rev. David Powell will officiate the services.  The family will receive friends at Salem Baptist Church on Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of her service at 2:00 PM.  The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 430 Rockford Rd. Dobson, NC 27017. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff and caregivers at Vienna Village Assisted Living for the love and care given to their Mother.
