Wrenn Elizabeth Burke-Reisinger, age 17 months of Mount Airy, North Carolina passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home Tuesday, April 12, 2022.  Wrenn was born November 6, 2020, the first child and most special gift to Dr. Katherine Burke-Reisinger and Thomas Reisinger.  Wrenn, Thomas and Katherine were the perfect threesome.  God truly blessed their family of three, Wrenn taught Katherine and Thomas the true meaning of love.  Happiness abounded in Wrenn’s life, and joy showed through her precious smile each and every day.  Wrenn was a beacon of light who found her greatest happiness outside amongst God’s creation.  Wrenn was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she was baptized on July 4, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.  In addition to her parents, Wrenn is survived by her grandmothers, Carol Morris Burke and Diana Rosemary Banks Ross; grandfather, Johann Reisinger and adopted grandfather Dr. Claude Kidd, DVM, aunts and uncles, Dr. Emily Burke Cheshire and husband, Blaine Cheshire, and Julie Burke Slaby and husband, Todd Slaby; cousins, Gil, Olivia and Oliver Cheshire and Allison and Ryan Slaby; many great aunts, uncles and second cousins; and three special furry companions, Bruno, Percy and Morris.  Wrenn was preceded in death by her grandfather, Dr. Gil Burke.  A celebration of Wrenn’s life will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022, at 11:00 at First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Griff Gatewood and Reverend John Cleghorn officiating.  Please honor Wrenn’s vibrant light by wearing something colorful.  A private burial will be held at Oakdale Cemetery.  No formal visitation will be held.  To honor Wrenn’s love of animals and God,  in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Wrenn’s memory to Stepping Stones Canine Rescue, PO Box 21372 Winston Salem, NC 27120-1372; Tiny Tigers Rescue, Post Office Box 207, Toast, North Carolina, 27030; or First Presbyterian Church, Post Office Box, 1286, Mount Airy, North Carolina,  27030 . Moody Funeral Service in Mount Airy is serving the Burke-Reisinger family.
