Zell Rean Leftwich George

Mrs. Zell Rean Leftwich George age 65 of 141 Brookfield Drive, Mt. Airy, NC widow of Mr. Aldie Joyce George, Sr. passed away Wednesday morning, November 21, 2007 at her home. She was born August 11, 1942 to the late Raleigh Oscar and Carrie Lee McHone Leftwich. She was of the Baptist Faith and was a homemaker. Surviving are two daughters, Ronda Brewer and Diane George Wheeler both of Mt. Airy, a son and daughter-in-law, Aldie Joyce George, Jr. and Lee Anna of the home, eight grandchildren and spouse, Justin Wheeler, Brandy Phillips and Daniel, Jessica George, Andrew George, Justin George, Amanda Brewer, Wendy Brewer and Rebecca Brewer, seven great-grandchildren, Levi Phillips, Autumn Phillips, Jessie Phillips, J.J. Wheeler, Danielle Wheeler, Kenly Wheeler, Nathan Creed, a sister and brother-in-law, Imogene and Bobby Simmons, Mt. Airy, a brother, Donald Gray Leftwich, Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs.. George was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Owen Nicholas Wheeler and a sister, Josephine Snider. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 24, 2007 at Little Mountain Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Stewart Roten and Rev. Billy Watson. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 PM Friday night at Moody Funeral Home of Mt. Airy where her body will remain until carried to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
