Zella Lee Blackburn

Mrs. Zella Lee Easter Blackburn, age 92 of Mount Airy passed away peacefully with her family at her home on November 24, 2020.  Mrs. Blackburn was born in Surry County, August 14, 1928, the daughter of the late Lucas Lafayette and Myrtle Lee Snow Easter.  She was a devoted wife and Mother and loved spending time with her family.  She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church. Surviving are one son, Ronald Blackburn; four daughters and sons-in-law, Britta Hall (Charles), Dolores Burtnett (Thomas), Wanda Sumner (Tony), and Barbara Blackburn; grandchildren, Hoyt Hall (Kendra),  Annette Reece (Bryan), Nicholas Cooper and Payton Parker; great grandchildren, Bailey Hall, Laiken Reece, and Ella Reece. In addition to her parents Mrs. Blackburn was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Ray Blackburn, and a sister, Hazel Simmons. The service will be private and there will be no formal visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, Cemetery Fund, 1739 Pipers Gap Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030. Moody Funeral Service is entrusted with her arrangements.
