Zelma Johnson Rowe

Mrs. Zelma Johnson Rowe, age 83 passed away at Central Continuing Care in Mt. Airy, NC. Mrs. Rowe was born in Surry County August 27, 1924 to the late General Lee and Rosie Goins Johnson. She was retired from Lynn Hosiery and a member of the Mt Airy Wesleyan Church. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie Lee Johnson, Sr. and Linda Butner Johnson; grandchildren, Ronnie Lee Johnson, Jr., Joseph Carroll Johnson, Jeffery Wayne Johnson, Chad Everette Johnson; great grandchildren, Adam, Johsua, Kara, Elijah, Anna and CJ and Abby Johnson and a sister, Sarah Norman. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rowe was preceded in death by Brothers, Bob, Curtis, Dixie and Vester Johnson; a great grandchild Johnathan C. Johnson. A memorial service will be conducted Thursday January 10, 2008 at Mt. Airy Wesleyan at 2:00 PM by Rev. Richard Loman. The family will receive friends after the service at the home of her sister, Sara Norman 2355 South Main Street, Mount Airy, NC. Moody Funeral Home is serving the Rowe family.
